Green’s to help Denmark’s green city goals

Copenhagen intends to be the first carbon neutral city by 2025. An important part of achieving this ambitious target is through the installation of a biomass energy production facility at the Amager Power Station in the capital city.

Green’s has significant experience in helping organisations to use biomass power generation in an economic and clean manner. Previous installations include Drax, one of the UK’s largest producers of renewable power and Europe’s single largest decarbonisation project, with Doosan Babcock. Green’s economisers take exhaust gases and transfer them to the incoming boiler feed water, thereby increasing the overall efficiency of the boiler. All economisers provided by Green’s are bespoke and are designed specifically to meet individual customer’s requirements. They are manufactured to the highest industry standards including ISO and EN, in Green’s factory in Wakefield using expertise built up since the company was established in 1821, before they are shipped around the world.

Green’s managing director Matthew Crewe says:

“Supplying our products to the biomass market is becoming a increasingly large part of our business alongside conventional fuel applications such as coal. It is a clear indication of our strong track record in this growing area of sustainable energy production.”
